iTunes Catches Podcasts

June 28, 2005 › Sandy McMurray | comment

itunespodcast.jpegAhead of schedule, iTunes 4.9 is available and podcast-ready. The cross-platform music software from Apple makes it free and easy to subscribe to thousands of podcasts. Those podcasts are then automatically loaded on to your iPod the next time you plug it into your computer.
There were a few download glitches when I tried the service out this morning, but all, in all, pretty spiffy. This will kick podcasting into the mainstream, or as mainstream as it can be given it isn't a reality TV show.
